Hi,

First of all - thank you for the great plugin. We use it on our community website to block public access to a few private messages and documents. We have created a group 'members'. Only logged in users who are a member of that group are able to read the posts placed in a specific category named 'Only for members'. For all other users and guests viewing the site these posts stay completely hidden. This works great.

But slowly we are extending our site and I'm in the process of setting up BuddyPress. I have two issues with links to private posts being shown:

Similar Posts displays a publicly readable excerpt and link to the post placed in the 'Only for members' category. Clicking on the link as a guest displays a 404 error (as it should).

BuddyPress' user activity stream does the same: when a user has written a members-only post, a link and excerpt of this post are present in the recent activity of that user.

I know, Similar Posts hasn't been updated since 2008 and I'm happy to ditch it for a similar plugin. BuddyPress is another story however. Perhaps I should replace all the old members-only posts into a private buddypress group.

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know the incompatibilities I was experiencing.
