I just found out about RS and it is exciting just for the potential..as you're using simplepress forum, can one use RS to map roles/access to groups in SPF? Thanks..

No, SPF uses its own custom permissions system, which Role Scoper does not affect at all. For Role Scoper to modify a plugin's access, that plugin must make some use of the native WordPress capabilities/roles mechanism. Usually, this takes the form of current_user_can calls to check plugin-defined capabilities.

Is this still the case? In Simple Press now, there is an option to map WP user roles to a particular SP user group. The roles/groups created by Role Scoper aren't available in that list, so I assume that it IS still true - but wanted to see if there's a work around yet.
