Tried Revisionary on our live site for the first time this week.  A user, who has "Edit Posts" and "Publish Posts" capabilities enabled.  He runs two blog categories on the site, and when posts, gets the message that his post has been held for moderation, forcing me to log in and approve it.  I do not need to approve his posts, and he may get offended if they continue to be held for approval.

On a related note, despite me adding myself to the [Pending Revision Monitors] group, I did not get an email notifying me that there was a pending post needing approval.  He emailed me asking what the weird message was about.

Is this just a problem with how I have things configured, or is there a few bugs to be worked out here?

Thanks for providing such a great plugin!  Once the kinks are worked out, I think it will be fabulous.

Were those new posts? If so, this is not a Revisionary issue. Revisionary only relates to currently published posts / pages.

If your user was attempting to publish his posts without selecting a category, the symptom may be resolved by a bug fix in the updated Role Scoper development snapshot. If that does not resolve your issue, I will be interested in hearing more details about your Restrictions & Roles configuration so I can duplicate the condition.

On a related note, despite me adding myself to the [Pending Revision Monitors] group, I did not get an email notifying me that there was a pending post needing approval.

Again, Revisionary does not deal with new post/page submissions. It enables moderated revisions to currently published posts/pages. For email notification when new posts/pages are submitted, try Peter's Collaboration Emails.

Thanks for the clarification.  For some reason, I had to recreate the user role.  The old one must have gotten corrupted somehow.

Since Revisionary seems to overlap some of the features of Peter's, is it safe to run both at the same time?

I wouldn't foresee any problems.
