It involves a voluntary committee that organises events in our local area. Previously I had used the Disclose-Secret plugin to allow specific users to access a Committee Access Area which is a Page that is only visible once the user (with specific privileges) has logged in. However, since Disclose-Secret has not released updates to be compatible with WP versions (approximately) 2.3.* and greater, I had not been able to update WP to 2.5.* until I found an alternative.

Thanks to Role Scoper, it is no problem! I have just updated to the latest WP and feeling very glad that Role Scoper has been developed for the public to use. Thankyou!!

I also use Role Scoper on my personal blog at http://tombammann.org to allow specific groups of people to read specific private posts. As there are some topics I'm happy to talk about to some people but not others, this is a very important function for my personal blog. I don't want the public to know EVERYTHING about me
