Need replacement for Limit Categories plugin

This sounds like the plugin I need, but I'm confused.

1. I have one category where anyone can post and comment.

2. Category B can be viewed by anyone, but only people who bought a certain product can actually post or comment.

So, will the software allow for that? Can this be automated after purchase to give them a password or something to change their role?

Also - I just tried to download the plugin and the link is dead. I tried a few different places on the site.

Thanks, Susan

Yes, Role Scoper can be configured to achieve (1) and (2).  If your existing e-commerce code can be configured to set a user's WordPress role upon product purchase, Role Scoper can complete the automation by assigning category-specific posting rights to users with that WordPress role.  Better yet, the e-commerce code could do the following to add the user to a User Group corresponding to the product purchase:

if ( defined( 'SCOPER_VERSION') )

  ScoperAdminLib::add_group_user($group_id, $user_id);

My web server has been sporadically mishandling URL rewrites lately.  Can you try it again and let me know if the results are the same?

The link is configured to open a new window (new tab in Firefox) and display a "download in progress - click here if it fails" message.  Is your browser configured to prevent new tabs/windows?

I've changed the "prove it out" link here to open the "downloading" page in the same window (while the other link still opens in a new window/tab).  Do either of these work for you?

Okay, I see from the other forum post that IE was blocking your download.
