I can not understand the relationship of roles:

with roles in post / page management: 

Readers 
Contributors 
Editors 
Associates 

For example, 

[WP subscriber] and [WP author] is what role?

This new Role Scoper Development Snapshot has revised "RS Role Definition" and "WP Role Definition" tabs in Role Scoper Options.

The capabilities included in RS Roles are now user-adjustable (though that will not normally be necessary).

The "WP / RS Role Equivalence" table on the "WP Role Definition" tab should be especially helpful in understanding your configuration.
