I am usually pretty good at working things out but role scoper leaves me completely lost… probably because i havent had alot to do with the wp roles?

simply all i want to do is restrict certain users to author/contribute/edit/delete to a specific post category, i dont want them to view the other categories or the roles and restrictions in the menu… is there a step by step way to do this?

1. Go to Restrictions > Category and restrict the Post Contributor, Post Author and Post Editor roles in "Defaults for all Categories"

2. Go to Roles > Category and assign roles for users or groups of your choice - Post Contributor, Post Author or Post Editor depending on what editing capabilities you want the selected user(s) to have in the specified category

3. Go to Roles > Options. In the "Content Maintenance" section, set "Roles and Restrictions can be set:" to "Content Administrators only"
