I just installed Role Scoper and it did exactly what I wanted it to do, and I thank you!

What I did was set a few pages in my blog as editable by the Subscriber users.  When I logged into my site as my new user, two very small issues came up.

First, "Add New" exists under the Pages menu.  When I click on it, I get a message that I don't have permission to see this page.  That is as it should be.  But I would rather the "Add New" menu item just not be there if the user is not permitted to add new pages.

Second, when editing a page, I tried to turn off the "Readers" pane using Screen Options, but when I unchecked it, the pane did not disappear, and the next time I opened Screen Options "Readers" was checked again.

Of course, these are very small matters, but since you're in development I thought I'd weigh in.

Thanks so much for a great plugin!

Thanks for reporting these issues (and for the encouraging feedback).

Although I did not reply earlier, item (2) was new information which made for an improvement in Role Scoper 1.0.0-rc9. The other bug is also fixed now.

Kevin,

I noticed what I think may be a bug about this issue:

The "Add New" item did not exist under Pages (as expected).  But when I went to edit a page, the Add New item returned to the Pages menu.  It shows only on the Edit Page screen; when I navigated away, it disappeared again.

Thank you very much!

I'm finding this to be pretty exciting.  I think it's amazing that you can respond to all this niggling without ending up hating us all, but it's fun to be a tiny part of the process.

You're welcome. Lately it has taken some patience on both sides. Thanks for understanding that this is a process I can't successfully complete without timely feedback.
