My feature request:
It would be cool if the author of a post or page or the admin could email the members of a selected group if something happens with a post or page the group is associated with.
In my case, I'm the only admin and author of my personal website including a blog section. There are posts and pages completely public to anyone, some stuff that only registered users can see and comment and some stuff that only close friends can see, and so on. When I publish something new or update something, it would be great if there was a possibility to automatically send an email to the users of the groups who can read the published or updated stuff, including the option not to send an email as well, for example when one publishs test posts or just corrects typos.
I can pick them manually now, but I'm afraid to make mistakes and then somebody might be annoyed if he gets to know that there is some stuff he is not allowed to see.
