I was wondering if it is possible to implement a daily/monthly download limit per logged-in user. If I have a membership area and users are registering on my wordpress blog, they became subscribers. Role Scoper can protect the uploads directory from unregistered users and can be used only by a specific group, in my case Subscribers. I want the users from that group to have a number of downloads per month(30 days) on a file. In other words, registered users may have x downloads on .file over y days.

It will be a great feature added to Role Scoper!

I hope I've made myself understood…

That would be nice functionality, but probably better implemented as a separate plugin. As you said, Role Scoper could be the initial gatekeeper for download access, with the other plugin imposing and tracking its own per-user limits. I don't see why the plugins would have to be aware of each other.

I'm not anxious to donate that development at the moment.

Ok… to bad there's no such separate plugin for doing that.

I hope that some day you are willing to implement this in Role Scoper.

Cheers
