Hey,
It would be nice to be able to redirect anonymous users to a specific page, or to the login page.
At first I installed the Members Only plugin to do that, but I had problems with feeds, so I removed it, thinking maybe Role Scoper and Members Only were fighting for control over that (Members Only has a "feed key" feature and modifies the feed links and all that). I still have some problems with feeds (see my other post in the support forum) but well…
Anyway, I'm thinking this redirect would be a simple enough feature that it could be added to Role Scoper (common use case is for private websites with an explanation page for new visitors). I can see how it's not really Role Scoper's.. errr… role to take care of that (nor is it within its… errr.. scope), but it's kinda related. Otherwise, I would like to know which plugin is known to work well with Role Scoper (Members Only or whatever). Thanks!

It is an interesting peiece of functionality though. Currently when a user 404s they receive a standard message. It would be very cool if I could send them to a cusomt er"permission denied, you'll need to become a member" message.

Just to be clear, the 404 behavior is standard and expected, right? If so, I also request that we be able to specify a redirect-to page. It'd be great if we could say "Sorry, but you're not allowed to view this content"
Thanks!

Yes, the 404 is standard when Hidden Content Teaser is not enabled. Feature request noted.
