Hi Kevin,

Using WP 2.9.2 with RS 1.2.2 and I have a couple of problems with the admin menu for my users (who are in a defined group, but with no more privelidges that a subscriber role, they can read and comment.

But in the back end they can see (atleast when I use a user switching plugin) menus against:

Restrictions –> Posts and Pages

Poles –> Posts and Pages

I have no idea if they can do these things, I need to investigate a bit moreperhaps, but thought I'd do a quick post of the oberved problem.

I may need to investigate the default suppression of those menu items for users with no Post / Page / Category Editor role assignments. But you should be able to suppress them by setting via RS Option:

Roles > Options > Features tab > Content Maintenance > "Roles and Restrictions can be edited by:"

Hi Kevin,

I had previously set that feature to admin users only to have those rights, so that did not work and I hid the items with the adminimize plugin. This menu problem did not happen on all my blogs so, I deactivated, removed, re-installed and re-activated RS and the problem seems to have gone now.
