Allowing creation of translation with WPML?

Hello,

Firstly, thank you so much for Role Scoper! It looks to be extremely useful.

Here's what I need to do and have had a little trouble figuring it out:

1. Give a user access to a specific page

2. Give that user access to add a translation of that page with WPML

#1 works great.

However, I'm not sure how to do #2. When I try to add a translation as a test user, I get the "Thank you for creating with WordPress." page.

I suspected it had to do with not having permission to create sub-pages, which is a disabled checkbox for me on the permissions-editing page…

Any help at all would be most appreciated!!!

Even a pointer to where I can dig into code that page-new.php calls…

Thanks so much,

-Brett

The WPML plugin handles translations by creating an entirely separate copy of each category, post or page for each language. As a result, Role Scoper currently has no way of automatically granting access to multiple translations of the same page / post / category.

The only solution is for an administrator to manually mirror the RS role assignments after a translation is created. I understand that this does not satisfy your desire to let a limited-access user create a translation of a page for which they already have an Editor role.
