Hi

I'm using  wordpress 3.11

Role Scoper Version 1.3.28

and Role scoping for nextgen gallery 1.0.2

I'm only a simple wordpress user, and all i am trying to do is to allow an Author, to create new Galleries, and then upload pictures ,and publish them.

Basically to give an Author full control over the nextgen gallery plugin.

However, every time they create a new gallery, they cannot follow onto the next step of adding photos to the gallery, if they hit the manage gallery button, the new gallery does not appear.

I have to log in as administrator, find the relevant gallery, and add permissions for the author to edit this gallery


What am i doing wrong? why does this seem so complicated, please help me

This works for me with NGG 1.7.4

When I use Roles > General to give a user the "Gallery Author" role, they are able to create a gallery, upload images to it and manage the gallery. That's the only configuration step required.

Make sure you don't have any Gallery Restrictions set, or else they won't be able to edit a gallery (including a newly created one) without a gallery-specific role assignment.
