Hi,

I've been experimenting with role scoper and i can't seem to find the right combination to get it to do what I would like.

Here's the issue - I have a wordpress blog, and there is one subcategory that I want someone else to be in charge of all the content for. This subcategory will have more categories beneath it, according to need.

So basically, I want to give this person permission only to edit/upload images/publish..

1) all the existing articles under this subcategory

2) the ability to write and publish new articles (including uploading images) while also being able to create even deeper categories under the original parent category

I don't want them to be able to touch anything else on the blog. Is this possible with the plugin? And if it is, any idea on how to do it?

Thanks..

Yes, you can:

  1. Give that user a WordPress role of Subscriber

  2. Go to Roles > Category
  3. Set the Assignment Mode dropdown to "assign for selected and sub-categories"
  4. tick the checkbox for your user
  5. scroll down to the category in question
  6. tick the checkboxes for both Post Editor and Category Manager
  7. scroll back to the top and click the Update button
