When I have Role Scoper activated Users can't update their user info in their profile (website etc) When I check my database, the correct, changed info i updated in wp_users but not in wp_usermeta
This is a problem I have had for quite a long time now.
Thank you!

June,
It seems I'll need more configuration info from you (versions and any nonstandard role definitions). So far I'm not seeing a problem in saving the supplemental user profile data.

Thank you for your reply Kevin.
It seems that I have an issue with the user function in my installations. I have tre WP installations using Role Scoper and the problems with Users is present in all installations. For an example: I have no users listed when trying to add users to a group or when, in an entry, want to restrict the post for specific users.
I have no idea on what's wrong. I'm using the lates Role Scoper and always update my bloigs with the latest WP and latest plugins.
If you want to take a look in my controlpanel for one of my blogs, feel free to email me and I'll let you in.

There are a couple different complications with User selection which you may not be aware of.
1. When selecting users for group membership, type a portion of their login or display name before clicking the Search button. To see a list of all users, click Search without any textbox entry.
2. Since your site has more than 100 users, Role Scoper defaults to handling content-specific role assignments via textbox entry of the login or ID. You can key in multiple users separated by commas. To force the display of individual checkboxes for each currently unassigned user (and live with an performance hit in the display of Post/Page Edit Form), disable this option:
Roles > Options > Advanced tab > "Role Assignment Interface" > "Users CSV Entry"
This non-slick interface is a stopgap until I have time to develop an Ajax solution.

Hey Kevin.
I hope it's OK that I open up an old post, since I still have this problem. The problem is that when I want to add members to a created group, I don't get a list of members even though I hit the Search button first. I currently have 53 members. As always, you are welcome to look in to it with username and passwrd.
Thank you for all your assistance in the past.

I am also seeing the issue described in post #6. The "search" function to look up users to add them to groups, or to look up groups to add to users appears to be non-functional as of one of the last 3 updates (not sure which, because this is the first time I've had to make a group change). It seems that I'm unable to add new users to a group!

I was ultimately able to get my user into the group by adding an entry to the wp_user2group_rs table and then using the "flush cache" function in options. Even the csv option was failing for me.

zelonewolf is right that this was a new bug, introduced in 1.3.23. It's now fixed in Role Scoper 1.3.26.
I do not, however, see any problem in adding group members via CSV entry when that option is enabled (and User Groups jQuery UI is disabled).
