Hi! I've finally put in a couple of days to get the hang of Role Scoper - thanks for an impressive piece of software!
Most everything works except for this:
User group A has category role Post Editor assigned to category X. In the front end only users from group A see articles of that category, which is what was intended.
The same for group B and their corresponding category Y.
Now here's my problem: When writing a new article, users from both groups have the checkboxes for ALL categories available. If they pick only one they have no right to use, it gets remapped to "Allgemein" (uncategorized) and the button says submit for review. If they check both a "legal" and an "illegal" category, the article gets published with only the legal one.
So basically whatever happens, happens in a safe way. Nevertheless it is irritating, and makes trying to teach non-computer-savvy folks that much harder - who to keep from messing up the site Role Scoper ist needed in the first place.
I seem to remember after setting up the first users that only the categories they were supposed to use were visible, which of course would be ideal. Did I do something wrong or just haven't understood the logic?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Stefan
