Hi all, I'm a beginner in both Wordpress and Role Scoper, so I beg for patience…

I'm dealing with a very basic project, yet I just can't figure out how to make it work.

My setup consists of Wordpress 2.6.3 and Role Scoper 0.9.27

I'm building a small site, with a handful of pages and just one posts' category, and public access to all content.

Besides the admin, there are going to be just two users managing content -  one editor and one author.

I've installed Role Scoper since I want to prevent the editor from managing categories, links and tags - and eventually from adding new pages, but that's not too important by now.

I don't need to tweak author's default wordpress capabilities.

I've disabled Role Scoper User Group feature, and I tried to assign the desired blog roles to users, but it doesn't seem to affect editor default capabilities at all. 

If someone would like to give me some basic how-to advice, it would be greatly appreciated
