Hi Kevin - I am creating a new custom WP Role called 'Trial User' - using Role Manager.
I have RS configured as: Role Type = Multiple RS - which I want to still be able to have multiple RS groups assignable
When I go to User > Groups - I dont see this new Role as a pre-defined Group, nor does it show up on any Role > General/Category/Page as a valid group to select.
I would think I would see this new group alongside all the other WP defined roles (with admin, subscriber, etc).
It does show up WP Role Definitions tab with the right Equivalancy fields and everything.
Should I be seeing my custom WP Roles in this manner? Or are the default WP Roles hard coded in RS?

Update - I had found the answer just before I hit submit, but figured I would still post for future reference for others.
I had to go Roles > Options > RS Roles Definitions
Then scroll all the way down to the bottom and check the 'Re-sync with wordpress roles on next update'
Then hit submit.
I had seen that before, but thought i didnt have to do it since it saw the new roles on the WP Roles Defnitions tab - I thought it had already synched.
Kevin - minor suggestion - I think that 'Re-synch' option would be nice to have on the User > Groups page as well as thats where I instinctively looked for it.

Except now when I go to the Role > Options WP Role Definitions - All the values are blank. It just shows the role but no capabilities, or the WP Role, but no Contained RS Roles.
Any reason for that? There were there previously.

Yeah, normally that shouldn't be necessary. I'll put some thought into what might have happened and possibly tap you for some more diagnostic support. What version of Role Manager are you running? Some of the older versions may be lacking the API hook which RS needs to keep the role defs synchronized.

It was for all roles. Nothing was showing up in any of the right columns. But once I logged in from different computer, they all were all back. The roles in Role Manager were all standard capabilities.
Im using wp2.7 with latest dev RS (as of wednesday)
If I see it again, I will take screengrab

I found that Role Scoper was not properly detecting Role Mananager's creation / deletion of roles. This is fixed in the new development snapshot (rc9.9224).
