Hello, Great plugin!  I'm on WP 2.8.5 and RS 1.0.8–

I've got two users, both with subscriber roles, one with a contributor role on a specific page, the other with an editor role on that same page.  When the contributor edits the page, she gets the message that it has been submitted for review, but the revision is only visible to site wide admins, not to the assigned editor specific to the page.  Let me know if you need any additional info!

Thanks!

so it looks like it's the intended behavior of the plugin to only allow admins to approve the pending changes, so i'd like to put in a feature request to expand that role to editors, since that's wordpress's default behavior when roles aren't scoped.

in the meantime, it looks like i'm going to have to modify the plugin to suit my needs.  any chance you could point me in the right direction?  i plan to start by tracking down the pending_revisions option.

No, that's not the intended or normal behavior of the plugin.

Pending Revisions referes to a different operation altogether - changes to already-published content.

Okay, I read through your posts again and see that the Pending Revisions feature is what you need. And yes, as of 1.0.8 it only supports moderation by Administrators. There are also some bugs in the Pending Revision functionality as of 1.0.8. Overall, you are going to be much better off waiting for my next release. I put some long hours of development into this very feature for a client, and the resulting code is going to go public as soon as I can free up some time to do a little code maintenance and documentation for it.

That's great!  Although I may need to come up with something in the meantime…depending on the wait for the new version.

Are we talking days, weeks, or months?

Thanks again for such a userful plugin.

I'm expecting to get to it toward the end of this week. Shouldn't be much more than 1 more week, worst case.

It's coming along very well. Sorry I didn't get it out this week, but the extra polish should be a benefit to everyone.

Over the last few days, I did some necessary test and debug following new features, MU support and code restructure. Also managed some performance enhancements that bring memory usage below v1.0.8 even with the new features. Just yesterday, I came to the end of the bug and plugin conflict queue. I think all the confirmed issues are now fixed in the upcoming code, though I'm waiting until the 1.1 release to post forum responses for those that don't have an easy 1.0.8 backport.

More news next week!
