Hi
All I can see is that, when signed in as an editor, this is produced on the edit post panel:
<ul class="list:category categorychecklist form-no-clear" id="categorychecklist">
</ul>
Whereas as admin, I get a full <ul> with lots of <li>s, listing all the categories.
This difference does not happen when the Role Scoper plugin is deactivated.
I am planning to use Role Scoper properly, at some stage, I'm training in some people to use wordpress on their website and they've asked for private areas and I believe Role Scoper will be perfect for it.
But at the moment I realise that I don't use any of its features so I've disabled the plugin.
But it's only temporary - I do want it to work - but the people who I have given the role of editor to have been messing up the categories because each time they edit a post, it is set back to uncategorized when they save it. And they are doing this a lot, as they are going over old posts and editing them. I don't want to make them all admins.
I've checked a few plugins that may be causing it, but disabling them doesn't change the problem. The only one that appears to be the problem is Role Scoper.
The following plugins add widgets to the edit/write post panel:
Ozh' Admin Drop Down Menu
All in One SEO Pack
Page Links To
Mailpress
WordTwit
Sociable
I am using the latest version of Wordpress.
Thanks
