I have looked around wp site and agapetry.net and I don't think there are any previous posts. Please rediret me if this has been answered before.

Short backround - I teach online. One of my courses requires students to post data about certain tools they are assigned to research. THey need to post data like: version, author, link to site, packet trace data, and finally a screen capture video. I want them to be able to see each others's work. All of it.

For the rest of the world - public- I want to DENY two of the data fields - packet trace file and capture file.

Word press - custom fields seem to be the answer for creating the custom data feilds- mabey magic fields plug in.

?The question - Does Role Scoper have the field level permission capability?

Is there a simpler way? Am I using the correct terms?

Thanks in advance-

Dean

No, Role Scoper currently cannot customize access at the field level. That is certainly a feature I will consider now that WordPress is catering more to custom types / custom fields. If you need to expedite that feature, I am available for professional consulting.

For now, the Hide Post plugin may be helpful.
