hello,
when using Role Scopes, I connect a user with "author", I see only its own articles. that's ok. but I want it to do the same with the media and it does not.
Is this normal?
I am sorry for my English.

Currently, Role Scoper will filter the Media Library listing to hide uploads which are attached to posts/pages which the user cannot edit. Other users' unattached uploads, though undeleteable, are not hidden.
Next week I will look into some options to better control that visibility.

By default, Role Scoper 1.0.7 will hide unattached uploads from other non-Administrator users. There is a new option (in the Content Management section of Roles > Options) to re-enable visibility to other users.

WP 2.8.2 and Role Scoper 1.0.7
Hi,
and thank you for a great job.
My problem appears to be related to the above - I hope it is ok to post here.
I really want all authors to be able to see and share everything in the media library.
But - the elements in the library are not visible in the dialogue when attempting to attach them to a post.
Neither does "view" work when browsing the library, though the tumbnails are visible.
I have put a tag in
Roles > Options > Content Maintenance > Non-administrators see other users' unattached uploads.
I tried inserting "define( 'DISABLE_ATTACHMENT_FILTERING', true);" in wp-config.php but that didn't appear to do anything.
Do you have any suggestions?

Both of these problems are now corrected in the updated Role Scoper Development Snapshot (1.1-beta.2). This version (not yet marked for stable release) also includes some considerable performance enhancements.
