How to allow non-editors to EDIT other users' UNattached uploads

Working with Role Scoper over the last six months - with 20 Authors, 1 Editor, 2 Administrators, 1 Group Author with Limited Editor Capabilities. Current settings on Roles-Options-Features-Media Library are both boxes checked to allow: 1) Non-editors see other users' attached uploads and 2) Non-editors see other users' unattached uploads. No problem with functionality of 1) - in Media Library Window - editors and non-editors can View/Edit/DeletePermanently other users' attached uploads - especially useful for PDFs as allows (through Edit) to see the direct URL path to the file in the uploads folder - makes it possible for other user's to hyperlink in their own posts/pages to someone else's document. Problem is with 2) - in Media Library Window - neither editors or non-editors (unless they are the original author (i.e. uploader of the file)) can Edit or DeletePermanently other users' UNattached uploads - the only option is View - meaning it is impossible to Edit (even as Editor) another users' UNattached upload in the Media Library window - and particulary important for my purposes is for other users to be able to easily view the direct URL path to other users' PDFs - which is most easily done by clicking on Edit - and viewing there. Are there suggestions as to what I need to do to configure so that the View/Edit/DeletePermanently options are there for both Attached and Unattacheed uploads - or is this a known bug. Is there a workaround to allow the Editing of other users' UNattached uploads via the Media Library?

I am trying to do exactly this as well. Editors can edit everything in the Media Library except unattached items. The Attach link is actually visible and works for editors but it doesn't actually attach anything.

This is fixed in the updated Role Scoper development code (1.3.41-dev).
