Hi, wonderful plugin, i have activated it. I was wondering if it is possible for Role Scoper to have these functions?
1) Own Posts
Right now after activating, I see that the users (contributor level) will get to edit their own "Drafts" only but can't see their submitted/publiished post.
If i deactivated RS, then the users can see all the posts (admin, editors included) plus his own posts. Is it possible to activate RS and have the user (contributor level) only see his own submitted/published posts?
2) Comments
I have not tested this, but am interested to know does RS enable configuration for users to see only the comments for their own articles only?
3) Stats
Is there an option for the traffic stats of wordpress stats plugin to be seen for only the users articles? I would like some way for user to see their own posts traffic stats in the dashboard section.
Many thanks for the wonderful plugin and thanks for reading.

Not currently. It's a good idea I'll put on the feature request list.

If can remove the "moderate comments" capability from the Post Editor role definition (Roles > Options > RS Role Defs), Post Editor role assignments will not enable editing comments on those posts. No other customizations are currently available.
3) Stats

Another good idea I will plan to look into.

hello, firstly forgive me for my english
i am new to the forum and i have the same question as ravestar.
i created a custom post type (jobs), and i want a custom user role (company) to be a contributor to the custom post type.
when a 'contributor' (company), creates a draft (job), and the admin publishes it, then at the admin panel of the contributor (company) this published post (job) is not on the list and he cannot edit it.
is there any possibility of helping me, changing this feature. cause it is really important for me, the author of the custom post to have the ability to edit his own posts, after he sees theme in the list..
i am a php programmer, but i do not know where to look for..
thanks in advice

hello again,
today i meet another issue with the contributor role. now if i disable the role scoper plugin, the posts a contributor submits are listed but he can not edit / delete them. i did not made any changes at the contributor's capabilities.
moreover i tested this issue at a fresh installation of wordpress and the reuslt was the same.
before installing the plugin, contributor's tasks work properly. when i installed the plugin, firstly the contributor could not see his published posts and when i unistalled it, the contributor could see the posts, but he couldn't edit or delete them.
please it is really important to reply, cause i have a huge problem with my main installation..
thanks in advice

Contributors seeing their own published posts without any ability to edit or delete them is normal WordPress access for Contributors. If you want then to be able to edit/delete, give them the Author role instead.

hello again,
sorry for my misunderstanding about the contributor role. i have another question. i assigned to the custom role (company) the author role (throuph rs->general roles), but i want them not to publish posts. i'm trying to modify the capabilities for the author role (job author) of my custom post type (jobs) throuph rs->options->rs role definitios, but the changes i made (remove publish capability) are not saved.
the result i want to make is that the custom role (company) to have the ability to submit, but not publish posts, and to have the ability to edit/delete own posts, either are published or not.
thanks again

What version of RS are you running, and did you click the Update button? I'm not seeing any problem saving that change with RS 1.3.51.
How are you registering your post type? Under Roles > Options > Features > "Post Type Usage", is there text about "late-initialization mode" ?
