found a more cosmetic bug - if you go to the Role Scoper Options panel and deselect "Link Categories" and click update, the Link Categories link remains in both Restrictions and Roles - when you click the link it throws the following error:

Role definition error (taxonomy: link_category).

Thanks, fixed in Role Scoper 1.3.RC3 (and 1.2.9.RC3 for WP < 3).
