Hello everyone,

I have this little issue: I installed in my WP Role Scoper and Capability Manager due to limit new users that are of elementary or middle school. So I created two new custom roles ElementarySchool and MiddleSchool and assigned categories to each of those two roles.
But when I have assigned to user for example MiddleSchool role, I see something like this in user's profile:

Role possibilities
Wordpress Role assigned: MiddleSchool
(contains Guest, ElementarySchool, Subscriber)

so if I log in as that user I still see elementary's school posts…how I can REMOVE those Guest and ElementarySchool roles from that user and keeping ONLY ElementarySchool role and Guest can see everything?….

thanks in advance to all!
Ciao, Luigi

Luigi,

Go to Restrictions > Categories and restrict the Post Reader role. You decide can set it for individual categories or for all categories using the DEFAULTS checkbox. Click the Update button.

Then go to Roles > Categories and assign the Private Post Reader role to the Elementary School group, for their category. Click the Update button. Repeat for other groups.

The "contains" caption on the user profile just means that the WordPress role Middle School role includes all the capabilities of those other roles.
