Nextgen: User cannot Manage Gallery

Hello

I would really appreciate some help with RS and the RS Nextgen Extension.

(My setup is WP 2.9.2, Nextgen 1.4.3, RS 1.1.8.dev.D, RS Nextgen 0.9.6.Dev)

The problem is my user cannot manage her gallery.  The site is setup like this:

I have a user with a WP role of Subscriber.

All my Nextgen roles are set to Subscriber

This User has a RS General role assigned as Gallery Administrator (I've also tried General roles Editor & Author - and setting Editor role for the individual gallery)

There are no Gallery Restrictions on the site and there are no Albums.

My user can create a gallery:  Gallery –> Add Gallery/Images and can add images to the gallery.

But when she goes to Gallery –> Manage Gallery –> and clicks on her Gallery name all she gets is one line at the top of the screen saying 'Gallery Settings' / Gallery Title / Page Link Box.  There are no details about the gallery or list of thumbnails for that Gallery.

However all these appear again if I deactivate RS for Nextgen.

Could you advise what the problem might be?  Do you think I have a wrong setting or could there be some other problem?  I think I've tried almost every permutation I can think of to try and solve this one!

With many thanks in anticipation.

Hello

I've now done some more testing -

It seems that the problem of not being able to manage galleries has been introduced by RS 1.1.8-devD.

Such that I get the following results:

Install RS 1.1.7 + ngg 0.9.5 = can manage galleries

Install RS 1.1.8-devD + ngg 0.9.5 = can't manage galleries

Install RS 1.1.8-devD + ngg 0.9.6 = can't manage galleries

Install RS 1.1.7 + ngg 0.9.6 = can manage galleries

Additional information:

Using either of the two working configurations above it is possible to get into the screen to manage a gallery but the menu options that come up for each thumbnail - 'meta', 'edit thumb' and 'rotate' produce a thick box type panel that just says "Cheatin 'uh?".  This is true for users with a general permission to administer galleries.

This can be solved by setting NGG Roles to subscriber.  But this then lets all subscribers have gallery access.

Don't RS NGG roles 'over-ride' NGG roles? So that if the NGG roles are set to 'Administrator', (Gallery –> Roles)  RS for NGG can give a Wordpress 'subscriber' a general 'gallery administrator' permission so they should be able to edit thumbs, rotate etc even tho' they are only Wordpress subscribers?
