Role Scoper seems to conflict with page navigation. Only when logged in with an admin account does it work. Any idea? I've tried both WP-PageNavi and WP Page Numbers plugins.

@Kevin, could I get your thoughts on this?

What exactly are you seeing?
It seems I will need more information on your configuration and symptoms, since the current version of WP-PageNavi looks alright in my trial.

Essentially, it disappears with Role Scoper on. In my config I have all categories hidden to unregistered users. It just seems odd that only admin users can see the page nav.

@Kevin, did you try clicking on the nav in your trial? When logged out, the nav is visable on the first page but only lists 3 pages and when you go to one, the nav is gone. When I disable Role Scoper things work normally again.

Yeah, I did check that.
I do notice some WP-PageNavi weirdness when the Hidden Content Teaser is enabled (though the paging nav is not totally hidden). Looking into that now.

Good catch with the Hidden Content Teaser needing to be enabled. Thanks.

How many posts per page are you using?

This is bust again. I switched from restricted categories to restricted individual posts which I think triggered it. Thoughts?

I'm going to need more help reproducing this error. I inserted the wp_pagenavi() call in both WP 2.9.2 default and WP 3.0 twentyten, and don't see any problems. I have Hidden Content Teaser enabled. Some posts are protected via private status, others via a post-specific restriction on the Post Reader role.

I running WP 2.9.2 with Role Scoper 1.2.5. Post readers are restricted for all posts. [WP subscriber] is assigned as post reader for all posts. Teaser for Posts, Pages is enabled.
Logged in as [WP subscriber] I can only see the first 2 pages.

I'm still not seeing the error.
Are some posts unreadable to the logged user due to private status or lack of role assignment?
You might try flushing or disabling the Internal Cache just to eliminate another variable.

All posts are unrestricted to [WP subscriber]. I've deleted all cache and even dropped my databases and reconfigured my settings but I still see only 2 pages on my category page.

Is this problem only occurring on the category page? The main blog listing and paging is correct?

This is the only place I use it, to paginate through category archives.

Do you get any warnings or error messages if you edit wp-config.php to temporarily set WP_DEBUG to true?
