I'm new to wordpress.

I have wordpress default roles as well as user groups defined through role-scoper in my site.

I have created about 5 groups of users , each group assigned with their own restrictions. I modified the capabilities of the author role to edit_users, add_users, create_users and promote_users (to give control over the below level users). The user with author role can now be able to edit other user's group. But i want him to change only user role not user group. How do i achieve that..
