Hello,

I'm either doing something very stupid, or it's just not working for me. I'm trying to enable it so that all users can request membership to a group. So far I have the following options ticked - on the options page;

Use jQuery selection UI
Enable membership requests

This didn't do anything and the user couldn't request to join a group nor see the panel to do so. I then set it so that the basic wp-subscriber role plus all of the groups i have created can have group applicants and still nothing. Is there something that i'm missing?

Two more steps are required:

1. In Roles > General, assign a Group Applicant role to the group [WP Subscriber] (or whatever is appropriate for your site)

2. Upgrade to Role Scoper 1.3.11. In previous 1.3.x versions, users will see the group application UI on their profile, but the "search" function will not work.

I'm not currently supporting any other user interface for the group membership request. If you need to develop one, I'm available on a consulting basis.
