Is it possible to remove the 'Quick Edit' option from the edit pages for restricted users?

Also, is there a way to directly customise a users preferences and settings with regard to Role Scoper through the database?

Not currently, but it would not be too hard to implement. What type of criteria did you have in mind for "restricted users"?

Are you looking for a way to define role-specific or group-specific default preferences? Which settings in particular are a concern?

Adam replied: Just users that aren't of an administrative status.
