Role Scoper can't prevent login, but you can limit read access using by setting Restrictions (per Category, Page or Post). Then assign a corresponding Role to your desired group. If it needs to be blog-wide you could expedite the administration by simply setting a default Restriction on the Page Reader role for all Categories and Pages. Then give your Group a corresponding Page Reader role for each Category / Page, with assignment to include sub-pages.
