Hi
I could not even repeat the pains caused by this plugin, too cut the long story short I just want to say that I needed something which can let the users to submitt news but not let them to access other news some one suggest me role scoper. I installed it. It worked ok for some days then all the content of my site disappeared . I worried too much, contacted several persons here and there but could not locate the problem all my site went down because the site was with out content for more than a month. Eventually I found that culprit was role scoper plugin. Now tell me is there any subsitute of that plugin or is there any version that can support word press 3.1 because I have tried every thing now but the moment you activate the plugin the content of the site disappears only showing the ads and menu. Tell me the solution immediately because the authors are un able to submitt content.

If you want to send an Administrator login through the contact form, I can take a look at your configuration.

Further investigation showed this to be a configuration issue. The Post Reader role was restricted by default for all categories (Restrictions > Categories). A post with such a restriction on all its categories is readable only to users who have a role assigned directly to a category or to the post itself. It is possible to selectively negate this effect by unrestricting the Post Reader role for desired categories. However, since none of the categories were unrestricted all content was hidden from anonymous readers.

You're welcome. For the record, the other configuration issue which I identified on your site was that your WordPress Contributor and Author role defintions had been modified (by some other plugin) to remove the "edit posts" capability.
