I have a site that we are looking to launch that uses Gravity Forms (http://www.gravityforms.com) .  I have installed and activated Role Scoper and unfortunatly do not see the two interacting.  I assume much is because Gravity forms has its own tables and structure.  My questions:

1) Is there documentation on extending Role Scoper for plugins (I know it can be done - nextgen stuff is great)

The only documentation currently available is the "Role Scoping for NGG" plugin code and comments therein.

2) Is this something RS already does and I am simply missing something.

No, Gravity Forms filtering is not built in.
