Greetings:
I'm sorry to report that Role Scoper v1.3.39 crashes my website when activated. I'm webmaster of a WP/BP/S2Member/Role Scoper CMS website (not a blogsite) and I need the capability to allow a certain S1 (contributor) member to have edit access to one or two pages that all other S1 members can read only. I also have a need to allow certain S1 members read access to pages that ordinarily require S3 or S4 level privileges to access. I think Role Scoper can provide this granularity of role assignment.
So I was dismayed to find that when I activate Role Scoper, it brings my website down, so that only the main page theme is shown, with no topics or text/graphic content displayed. There were no error messages thrown that I could see. I'm not sure how to proceed, since posting a request here to help me with a full crash isn't going to easily be solved in a support forum, but I'm stuck until I find out why Role Scoper crashes my website. Any help would be appreciated.

I've emailed you with a login request so I can take a look at your configuration.

Hi Kevin:
I supplied it, and you have apparently already found the problem, seeing as my website is now working with Role Scoper activated. Would you please let me know what you did? And THANK YOU!

It was a PHP Memory error. You have a 64MB limit. Activating Role Scoper brings your usage up from 54MB to 58.5 in wp-admin. I didn't get a read on front-end usage but apparantly it's higher because the only way to run with RS is by deactivating its front-end filtering (Roles > Options > Realm > Access Types). Of course, you'll need to re-enable that to filter page read access.

SO, I increased my PHP.ini memory_limit to 128MB, and reactivated the RS front-end filtering, and voila! no crash! So, I'd like to thank you for taking a moment to help me.
BTW, I'm the guy who recently sent you email about providing WP php level consulting for my website developer when he needs assistance. Would you let me know if you're interested? Clearly, you have the background…
I'll probably be writing in again, when I try to provision specific pages with roles, but I'll try to learn it myself before bothering you again.
Thanks,
Airpilot (Dave)
