Hello,

After installing Role Scoper I noticed my admin backup was extremely slow and prone to freezing. Is there any known problems with Role Scoper or conficts with other plugins?

P.S. I made sure to disable Role Manager and the problem still occured.

Do you mean "admin backend"?

Role Scoper has shown conflicts with a few other plugins, and I've generally been able to provide a fix or workaround. What other plugins are you running?

You should go to Roles > Options and ensure that the Internal Cache is activated. This will improved performance, especially backend, by reducing DB queries.

Do you see the wp-admin as equally slow everywhere, or are there certain URLs which are especially slow? Which URLs exhibit "freezing", and can you describe that more?

I was able to eliminate a major wp-admin bottleneck on sites with hundreds of pages, after another user who was seeing severe delays in wp-admin gave me diagnostic access. Maybe this was also the cause of your delays.

The performance fix is in Role Scoper 1.3.RC4 and 1.2.9.RC4.
