What are the capabilities you control with this special role?

till now we have got one student-group and one employee-group

student-group:

  • read, crate and edit posts in forums and pages which are only created for student
  • read, crate and edit posts in general-forums and pages
  • but no rights to read in forums and pages which are only created for employees
  • edit own buddypress-profile
  • create and manage own blog and comment other blogs
  • read and write wiki-posts but not publish them
  • subscribe RRS-Feeds
  • delete own posts

employee-group:

  • read, crate and edit posts in forums and pages which are only created for employees
  • read, crate and edit posts in general-forums and pages
  • but no rights to read in forums and pages which are only created for students
  • edit own buddypress-profile
  • create and manage own blog and comment other blogs
  • read and write wiki-posts and publish them
  • subscribe RRS-Feeds
  • delete own posts

unregistred visitors:

  • read, crate and edit posts in general-forums and pages
  • but no rights to read in forums and pages which are only created for students and employees
  • read wiki-posts
  • subscribe RRS-Feeds
  • delete own posts

For pages you can achieve your goals with Page Restrictions and Page Roles. Restrict all roles under "Defaults for all pages". Then assign Page Roles to groups as desired.

Role Scoper cannot modify forum access since BuddyPress does not use the standard WordPress roles and capabilities mechanism.

Thak you! You have helped me very much!Laughing

One question still: can role scoper modify forum access by using bbpress or other forum-plugin?
