We have been making some updates to our website and since these changes have been uploaded, we have been experiencing problems with several Wordpress roles.

All roles apart from administrators are affected. Basically what happens is that the user enters a text in the text box as usual and then presses either "Submit" or "Save to draft". At this stage the text quite simply disappears with no warning or error message - in most cases. Sometimes Wordpress deletes parts of the code (so that there are no paragraphs anymore) and only in very rare cases we manage to publish the post.  

We have made quite a few alterations to our site, for example we are using "Subscribers" for people to log into our site now (not the admin), so I am wondering if this could have something to do with it.

Has anyone experienced something similar or could shed some light on what's happening?

Any advice would be most welcome.
