I am not sure if Role Scoper can help me what I want to do, but here's what I want.

1. I want to be able to have someone put up a page or a post on a website using Wordpress 3.0.1.

2. I then want to allow only certain users to have rights to update and edit the pages or posts.

I was hoping Role Scoper would allow me to create a role group that I could put people into, and then allow that group to make changes.

But, I tried using Role Scoper, and either I'm not getting it .. or it won't help me do this.

I'd greatly appreciate it if someone could tell me how to set up Role Scoper to do this, or .. point me in the direction of another app that would.

Thanks,

Gary

Yes, Role Scoper can do that.

The easiest approach is: 1. give the users a default WP role of Subscriber so they have no default editing access 2. define your group (Users > Role Groups) and put appropriate users in it 3. give your group a Page Editor or Post Editor role for desired page(s)/post(s), using the Editor metabox in the Edit Form
