Using Role Scoper with Avatar plugin

Hi, my install is WP3 on MediaTemple and I'm using Role Scoper 1.2.7 and also have Avatar 7.5 installed for users to upload a local avatar at their choosing. The Avatar form is located on the User page and saves images to /avatar in the root folder.

Currently, users are unable to upload images to the /avatar directory and I'm wondering if that is a conflict with Role Scoper and if so, is there a way to alleviate it.

Thanks, Jay

If you are referring to the "Add Local Avatar" plugin, I tried the current version (8.1) on my WP 3.0.1 test install. No problems uploading to /avatar with or without Role Scoper (and I do have file filtering enabled).

I did notice that due to my installation being in a subdirectory, the avatars did not display correctly until I hacked the get_avatar function to use a full file URL instead of src="/avatars/image.jpg"

Thanks Kevin.

I invoked the "Or, use legacy (v7.3 and lower) $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] method" and that solved the problem. Going back, it didn't look related to Role Scoper.
