Wordpress 3.1.4 "Dashboard Screen Options" conflict
Since updating to Wordpress 3.1.4 (via Updates Panel) - when I login to /wp-admin my preferences of Dashboard "Screen Options" [i.e. single column, and several hidden panels] do not display as I had set them - and instead the Dashboard display is in two columns and all panels appear (including the ones I have hidden).
On Checking the "Screen Options" tab - it shows as two columns and all panels ticked - which is not what I had previously set before last logging out of my site (and not what is showing in the MySQL database).
However - on navigating away from the Dashboard and then returning to the Dashboard a second (or any subsequent) time - the Dashboard now displays my preferences (and the Screen Options tab has changed to be in agreement with the My SQL database).
To identify RoleScoper as having the conflict - I have deactivated all plugins - re-"updated" Wordpress (via Updates Panel) - then reactivated plugins - the only plugin that has a problem is RoleScoper.
The only thing I have not tried is re-installing Role Scoper afresh - but I do not know how to do that manually without losing my settings.
I have a site with 23 Authors - and had taken care to set up their Screen Options to a minimum of clutter - but now all Authors and Editors as well as Admin have the problem when logging in.
Is this something which will come right with the next RoleScoper update - or Wordpress Update?
