September 9th, 2013 marks the production release of Press Permit 2. PP is an advanced permissions plugin for WordPress and the successor to Role Scoper. This milestone is over six years in the making and I’m pleased with the solid framework which has emerged from the refinery. From the author’s viewpoint, Press Permit’s permissions model and API make it:

• an ideal gatekeeper for many collaborative authorship and membership sites
• well positioned to keep delivering benefits as the WordPress core and plugin universe shifts and grows
