Hi Kevin!
I screwed up the upgrade process. I am a begging at WP and still learning.
1. Have role-scoper 1.0.0–rc7 installed. 2. Could not unzip directly in directory (server), so I unzipped on my computer Hard Drive. I renamed unzipped role-scoper 1.0.0-rc8 folder to: role-scoper 1.0.0-rc8. 3. Uploaded unzipped folder role-scoper 1.0.0-rc8 to server. 4. Deactivated the role-scoper 1.0.0–rc7. 5. Activated role-scoper 1.0.0-rc8. 6. "Restrictions" tab would no longer display 7. Deactivated rc8 8. Reactivated rc7 - All looks to work as before. 9 Tried to Activate rc8 but now get the following error: Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare agp_bt_die() (previously declared in /var/www/vhosts/bragxpress.com/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/role-scoper/lib/debug.php:28) in /var/www/vhosts/bragxpress.com/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/role-scoper 1.0.0-rc8/lib/debug.php on line 33
Thank you for taking the time to help. Best regards Jean

It sounds like your old copy of RS rc7 is still activated. Check the active plugins list and make sure there are no other Role Scopers before activating your RC8.
The other option is to overwrite your active role-scoper folder with new files, but you cannot have two versions activated at the same time.

Hi Kevin!
Thank you for taking the time to answer me. I resolved it.
After uninstalling rc7 and reinstalling rc8 I was getting the following error. http://bragxpress.com/wp-admin/role-scoper%201.0.0-rc8/admin/restrictions/category
To fix the issue, I renamed my folders. rc7 was renamed from role-scoper to role-scoper old. rc8 was renamed from role-scoper 1.0.0-rc8 to role-scoper.
I reinstalled and it worked.
Best regards, Jean

Just wanted to compliment you on this release. It fixed my database problems with MAX_JOIN size and it, indeed, runs much quicker loading the page editor.

Hello, thank you for this great job! But How about Rss Feed's management? How can I do to give feeds only for some categories to specified users? Thank you very much

Role Scoper will filter RSS feed output based on your restrictions and roles. Users will have identical category read access, regardless of how the info is requested (post listing, individual post or rss feed).
However, Role Scoper does not handle the display of category feed links ( http://your_blog_url/category/cat-name/feed/ or http://your_blog_url/?feed=rss2&cat=cat_id )
That's up to your theme or possibly some other plugin.

Thank you for the tremendous work on this plugin. I've just discovered it and am delighted to see that it removes some major stumbling blocks for me on a number of projects. You've converted WP into a platform for sophisticated communal authoring as well as provided the tools for creating a structured workflow. Many thanks.

Hi Kevin, thanks for your answer, but I don't know how my users can read rss feed with Role Scoper password protection. I would like my users can read their category feed. I know the url of category feed, but I can't reach it. Where they can login? In the wp-feed.php? Thanks a lot

Role Scoper doesn't provide any special login features. If the user is logged in normally, the RSS feed will be filtered for their access.
