Services
Kevin is available for hire for the following services:
- Design and develop a new website to your requirements.
- Redesign an existing site, maintaining or editing content at your discretion. Formatting, navigation and site administration will be revised to WordPress / Role Scoper standards.
- Add desired functionality to an existing WordPress-powered site by writing a custom plugin.
My consulting philosophy is to choose design tools and practices which provide an excellent balance of user-friendliness, flexibility, performance and cost. I never leave problems unresolved, and place a high priority on training, design feedback and support to help you get the most out of each technology.
With a good aesthetic sense, I can recommend an existing Wordpress theme (template) or design a custom theme. However, for original artwork or logo design you will need to look elsewhere.
Web design firms: might the skills I demonstrate by Role Scoper's development and maintenance be a valuable addition?
Prospective clients: are your needs and my services a good match?
Current Availability (beginning January 4th, 2010): up to 20 hours per week. 1 week notice for large projects, please.
Rate: $60/hour, sometimes negotiable lower on larger projects. Billing is in 15 minute increments.
Typical office hours are Monday-Friday 9:30AM to 5:30PM (U.S. Eastern time).

Hello Kevin, I am fascinated by your coined word "agapetry." I am the webmaster for Christ Church and for the past few years have had a similar purpose, but have not "said it" quite as well as you did in your page "agaWhat." Thank you for the words.
The Christ Church web site banner is my design, as well as the gold logo placed within. I am a graphic designer with a professional photography background and extensive PhotoShop and graphic design skills. Recently I have developed several web sites using WordPress and appropriate plugins for each site. I do not have the expertise to program beyond basic html and css.
The Christ Church site has an abundance of streaming audio sermons accompanied by original poerty and art work for each one. It is a chore to maintain, but the rewards far outweigh the efforts — a labor of love unrewarded in money, but a labor full of blessing and hope to spread the message of this particular pulpit as far and wide as I can take it. THANK GOD FOR WORDPRESS!
I would welcome a dialog with you since it seems we have, not only WordPress in common, but an abiding love of God and a prayer that He will multiply and guide our efforts.
Walk with the Lord! Ron

Ron,
Thank you for having the time and heart to share these well-timed encouraging comments. The Christ Church website is beautifully done; what a pleasure to see a site with artistry and function befitting the priceless gospel it seeks to communicate. Even with the poetry, artwork and RSS feeds, I come away with a clear impression that the only agenda is to give Christ the praise He deserves.
Based on a brief scan of the Christ Church site, I am amazed that the first "non-technical" comment here would come from one I appear to have much in common with. No doubt I shouldn't be surprised. I plan to download some of the sermons and also e-mail you soon so we can dialog more.

Kevin, You may have two non-technical comments that provide some inspiration for your work. I had been looking at hundreds of plug-in's for my client, but none would do what we needed. Then, I found Role Scoper.
Here is the irony…I was on the phone with my client today and gave him the good news about your plug-in. I know the client because he used to be head of the Deacons at my church here in Arizona. As we spoke on the phone, he asked me if I had looked at the 'about' link in the 'roles' group. Here were two born-again believers on the phone when we both realize that your plug-in was 'discovered' by more than coincidence. Should I be surprised? Praise God. My client's site is the one listed. Thanks for your good work.
In His Service, Richard

Kevin, I absolutely love the look and feel of your website. Although it is done in a simple manner, it comes across feeling rich. This is sometimes a very hard thing to accomplish in website design. Great work! Ed

Glad to hear someone likes the look. I haven't found much time to tweak the site design ever since that snowball called RS started role-ing.

I am in the middle of setting up my web design company and i am looking for designers who would be able to do a word press project for people who dont want to spend alot of money on a website but want a great professional website.
Can you help?
Alex
