A thorough review of Role Scoper’s internal caching procedures revealed more issues with the updating of role settings, especially pertaining to section (category) roles. These are now corrected in another beta bug fix revision – Role Scoper 0.9.12.

This version also corrects a bug which prevented non-admin, non-Editor users from fully exercising their scoped Category Manager role. Namely, they were unable to assign Group Roles for the categories they were designated to manage. This too is corrected in the new revision. Thanks to Ohirt for the forum post which led to this discovery.

Update: The “you do not have sufficient permissions” bug reported by Joe is also fixed.
